Final Week of September!

For Monday, please read through the selection from Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream Speech".  You then need to write a three-paragraph analysis of the connections you can make between the messages in King's speech and specific characters in "A Raisin in the Sun".

Also coming up this week, we will be working on your group theme projects in class.  You will be doing your presentations during class on Friday.  

You will also be given your next major writing assignment on Monday.  I will give you all of the details this week, but as a heads up, your rough draft will be due on Monday, October 3, 2011.

Here are some important dates to keep on your agenda:

"Raisin in the Sun" Final Assessment Essay Test - Thursday 9/29

Advancing Vocabulary Chapter 1 Quiz - Friday 9/30 

You will also be getting a vocabulary packet to work on, beginning Monday.  This will be collected on Friday when you take your vocabulary quiz.  The packet is also worth 20 points.
