We are finishing up The Secret Life of Bees this week with several projects to wrap up the unit.
In class, students are working on a visual character analysis. Class time is given for work both Monday and Tuesday, and the projects will be collected on Friday.
Students should finish the book and turn in reading logs on Wednesday, 10/26.
On Wednesday and Thursday in class, we will be holding our Secret Life of Bees "Super Discussion". Students are preparing to answer a list of questions given out last week in a two-day in-class formal discussion/debate. This will count as the major class participation grade of the term.
Students are also working on rough drafts of their character diaries. This is due for revision on Friday. Final drafts are due Wednesday, 11/2.
Students will also have a Chapter 5 vocabulary quiz on Friday. Packets are also due this day!
It is a very busy week, but I am anticipating a lot of great work to come out of it! Good luck and have fun with these assignments!
