This week, students have been busy reviewing the literary analysis process and spending time working on their first drafts in class. We have been able to spend several days in the computer lab using the Google Docs program, which has been a great help. This program allows students to share their work with me, and it gives me the ability to watch the students work live. I can offer suggestions and make comments on the papers to help students see right away what they can do to make their writing stronger.
So far, I am quite impressed with the writing I am seeing overall and the hard work and dedication all students are putting into this major writing piece. Keep it up!

Vocabulary quiz will still be held this Friday. I will also collect your packets.
Please keep up on the reading with Secret Life of Bees. Remember you need to read Chapters 1-8 and complete a log for each. Each chapter is worth 25 points. I will collect the logs on Tuesday, 10/11.
