Thanks for a great day to start off the school year! I hope you all enjoyed your first day of 10th grade. I'm sure you found it much easier than the first day of your freshman year. Here are some reminders to help you get through this week:
1) Get the information/forms in the manila envelopes from homeroom filled out, signed, and turned in to your C PERIOD teacher ASAP. These all MUST be turned in by Friday, September 14th, but the sooner you get this done, the less you have to worry about it.
2) The sign-off sheet for your English class expectations/syllabus is due back to me by this Friday, September 7th. Please get these in!
3) The rough draft of your welcome letter is due in class on Friday, September 7th. We will be editing and revising in class! Your final draft is due on Wednesday, September 12th.
4) SUMMER READING: I hope you all read your books this summer (remember - you were to read two books). You will be getting more information from your C PERIOD teacher regarding your artifact presentations, but you are also required to write an in-class essay in English on one of your books We will be doing this in class on Tuesday, September 11th, so be prepared!
I hope you all enjoyed your first day! See you tomorrow!
